Shavkat Mirziyoyev is currently the Head of Uzbekistan. Date of birth: July 24, 1957. His parents were doctors. This probably influenced his choice of a career in medicine. Mirziyoyev has a family including a wife and three children. There are also sisters and a brother. Now Shavkat Mirziyoyev is one of the most influential political figures in Uzbekistan. He often carries out political as well as economic reforms in the state, and provides support for social programs whose goal is to improve the lives of citizens.

Childhood and student life

Mirziyoyev successfully graduated from TIIMSKh and became a mechanical engineer. In addition, he has a scientific degree. The start of his career was in 1981. At TIIMSKh he conducted experiments and was engaged in scientific research, after which he moved on to the development of new technologies in the field of agriculture.

Political career

It developed quite rapidly. In 1990, his political career began with his election as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Uzbek SSR. During this time, he was the head of the credentials commission, dealing with issues of electing and confirming deputies. A couple of years later, he was appointed khokim of the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent. In the period from 2001 to 2003, he was the khokim of the Samarkand region. During the performance of these duties, he made a significant contribution to the development of the economy and social sphere of these areas.

Later, the Oliy Majlis approved Shavkat as the prime minister of the republic, making him quite an influential figure in the political sphere. As a result, Mirziyoyev could already claim the status of head of state. In 2005, when Islam Karimov was president, the place of prime minister was taken by a politician who had not previously been a well-known public figure. In addition to the main responsibilities of the Prime Minister, Shavkat Miromonovich became the curator of the agro-industrial complex of the republic. Thanks to him, measures were taken to improve agricultural productivity. Nigmatilla Yuldashev recused himself. His position was transferred to Mirziyoyev.

Reform programs

Shavkat Mirziyoyev is implementing a reform program in several areas of the state:

• Economic reforms. Carrying out large-scale measures to stimulate the economy, attract foreign investment, develop business, and create a large number of jobs.
• Political reforms. Striving for the political liberalization of the state, strengthening human rights and civil liberties, as well as promoting a multi-party system and free elections.
• Development of the educational sphere. Modernizing educational programs, improving teaching and promoting innovation in these areas.

Social reforms also deserve attention, because Shavkat did everything to improve people’s lives, overcome poverty, reduce the number of unemployed and eradicate social inequality.
